    Position Description

    Job Purpose:

    To provide prompt and professional service to all customers and to practice all established control systems required in the dispensing of alcoholic beverages. To maximize beverage sales while observing all liquor laws and company policies and regulations.

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Display good customer relation skills and takes initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.
    • Exercise good public and customer relations skills at all times.   
    • Dispense alcoholic beverages and controls service to ensure customers do not become intoxicated in accordance with liquor and hotel and company policies and regulations.
    • Prepare drink orders per specified receipts and charge for such orders as they are prepared in the appropriate manner.
    • Comply with all liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies.
    • Perform side duties such as cleaning, garnish preparation, miscellaneous preparation, stocking, etc. Lift and carry heavy items, such as trays.
    • Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, wash and sanitize glasses and utensils. Clean work area.
    • Ensure all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to required closing time. Complete closing duties.
    • Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional.  
    • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
    • Count bank at end of shift complete cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts and secure banks
    • If functioning in a Lead Capacity: (a) take responsibility for assigned employees in the absence of the Supervisor, (b) assign work, and ensures proper performance of assigned employees.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications: 


    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred  


    • Six (6) months prior hospitality experience in food & beverage and/or banquets


    • N/A, but must meet state law age requirements for tending bar.
